we are in the habit of having birthday parties for the kids and yesterday we had Hunters. His b-day is on the 28th but we have his party early here are some pictures. Hunter is hitting the double digits he will be 10 how time flys. TTFN

we are in the habit of playing with new toys and guesswhat? I got a new camera a digital one yeah now I can keep up with the rest of the world.

to roast or not to roast

We are in the habit of finding new things to do as a family. we got a portable fire pit and it is really fun we have roasted hot dogs and marshmallows with it and the kids ask when we will do it again. We love to camp but with our schedules camping is not something we get to do very often. I think maybe sometime this summer we will try to go camping it will be fun. well that's all for now TTFN.

We may be family but we are all different

we are in the habit of taking lots of pictures most with a disposable camera but here are a few that just got developed. three of them are from bowling and the one of me well just goofing off with a friends digital camera. anyway I like that they are all different and it lets people see us as individuals rather than Oh you are so and so's mom or hey isn't your brother Hunter. so here we are all different and enjoying whatever activity we are doing. Ultimate blog party

I am in the habit of.... well...My name is Billie and I have another blog called honeysuckle thoughts I am married to a man that makes life interesting and I start my posts I am in the habit of... or we or some one in the family, I am a mom of two active kids and today one is sick. my son is 9 and my daughter is 5 I drive a school bus and volunteer in the special needs classroom at the middle school. I like to write and I was in the NANOWRIMO I hit the 50,000 word mark yeah! Hey man your losing your drawers

Rich is in the habit of getting "upset" when someone bumps in to him knowing there was room to get around but did not make it. on this occasion Rich held his temper and well this is what happened.... In the store Rich moved to one side to let this guy with his plumber pants on showing the world all and they bumped into each other no apology was given and the guy just walked out. After Rich got what he needed he walked out and with a straight face turned to him and said "hey man your losing your drawers" looking the guy in the his eyes and just staring for him to make the move and when he just stood there Rich just smiled and walked away. talk about keeping your cool and adding insult to injury I can just imagine him pulling up his pants and trying to keep them there. now that is one habit That is a good one to break. TTFN.

Rebel

I am in the habit of or at least I used to be of visiting the graves of those that have passed on and talking to them telling them what has been happening. Today I had the opportunity to do it again. As most are aware of my cousin passed away in November. I miss her terribly and today I went to her grave I wanted to see the stone that was not there at her funereal and I was not sure what I would do when I got there but, I cried a lot like when it first happened and I realize how much she meant to me and how much I miss her. she was my friend and someone I could laugh with someone I could cry to and know she would listen. In turn I did the same for her. I can not help but feel like maybe I could have done something to save her. and the over whelming sense of guilt is not something I can shake. next week is her birthday and I will be going again to see her grave and putting flowers on it and sending up a balloon to her in Heaven with all my love. letting go is hard and I am not so sure I am ready to do that just yet but, maybe one day I will. I know she is in a better place and she is not in pain for that I am thankful. My life has been better for having her in it and I will never forget my Rebel cousin Becky.

My baby is not a baby anymore

We are in the habit of being outside when the weather is nice. Today it got to 60 and it was beautiful. Khirali and Hunter were riding their bikes and Khirali decided to ask to have her training wheels taken off. so I did and off she goes scooting along and then putting her feet on the pedals and then she loses her balance. after about 20 min. she got the hang of it my baby is riding her bike with out the trainging wheels of course we made a huge deal of it. and she is so excited that she is showing everyone. I have to say they grow up so fast and I am a little sad to think that my baby is well on her way to being a young lady. on the other hand it also means she starts school next year and then it all goes up from there. so freedom here we come or not at least we still have our habits. TTFN

A good man

We are in the habit of making the oh so familiure trip down the Gorge. yet today was for a different reason. We went to say goodbye to a good man. A man that has had a big impact on my familys life. If it were not for the man Clark Riley we may still be in Dufur (which is not a bad place to live) working four jobs between us and not really going any where. Clark offered Rich a job therefore we moved and here we are today. maybe not at the top of life but we are in a good place. Clark shall be missed. The world will be different without you here. To the family our prayers go out to you. to the mill may you find a boss as good as Clark and to the world may life continue and strive to be better. That is all of the habits for now. TTFN

Valentines Day

We are in the habit of celebrating Valentines day (well sort of) and this year we do it again only this time my absolutly wonderful husband wants to make dinner for me. It is a surprise and I have to admit I am excited. I am not sure what to expect but, I know it will be made with lots of love. this year we all got floppys and for some of you floppy is well known. A floppy: a loveable huggable floppy pal so soft and comfy no one can resist. I got one last year and again this year as well. I love valentines day it is a day of love and sharing for my sister and her Husband it is an anniversary so here is to a day of love for all. Thats all of our habits for now TTFN!

Saying Goodbye

we are in the habit of being sad when someone passes away. and yesterday is no different. yestarday someone Rich rerspected and enjoyed to have around passed away. not knowing what happened we sit and wonder why? Clark was so lively from the stories I heard and wedensday he seemed healthy. so yet again we ask the question why? I am hoping the funeral will be when Rich can go and say his goodbyes. although the world does not stop for death neither will his job. See Clark was Rich's boss and he knew him through his mom. the mill and the world will not be the same with out Clarks cheery what the He-- are you eating it looks like a cafe in here and then smile, or he would come in ask what they were doing he always made a point to go to the shop and look in. To his family I want to say there are no words to express how you feel and I can not pretend to know so I will keep you in my prayers and hope to make the journey to The Dalles once again only this time it is to say good bye not hello.

Surprise!! Not

We are in the habit of missing our niece and nephew that now live in The Dalles, and yes again we make the journey to The Dalles to go to a Surprise 16th Birthday party for our niece which she knows about already. she invited us. anyway this is a well known adventure and this time we have 2 more passengers. My sister and other nephew are coming with us boy what a crowd. it will be good to see them again and I can't believe she will be 16. I feel old. so once again we are off to see the gorge and have some family time. since Chris is here and he is scared of dogs he is beginning to get used to them. well sort of. he at least does not scream when he sees them he yells shoo dog. but he does say come dog and turn around and yell shoo. he is a funny little man. so that is all the habits for now TTFN.

Hunters homework!!!!!!!!!

we are in the habit of sitting down and helping Hunter with his homework. yet sometimes he does not get it done. Yesterday was no exception. I told him to walk home from school clean the cat box and read his book for his book report until I got home. when I got home Hunter was no where to be found I called his friend but there was no answer. I called Rich and he said he would go look for him. I went outside to see if he might be coming and there he was with the friend that would not answer the phone. I told him to go in the house that he was grounded. we tried to explain the whole being responsible thing to him and explain why we were so upset. so back to the home work. I sat down got him started and had to run an errand and I told him ask dad for help if you need it I get home he was where I left him at saying he wanted me to help so needless to say no cat box cleaned no reading done and no homework either. what am I going to do with that kid.

ANOTHER SNOW DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are not in the habit of getting snow at least not much. and Guess What it is snowing again and I mean really snowing. at least two inches already I know where I am going to be today playing in the snow playing in the snow. and drop the jaw to the ground we have another snow day WOO HOO I am excited can you tell? any way Hunter is sick poor boy but me and Khirali can still play. and Rich had to drive the truck to work he wanted to stay home and play too. snow ball fight here I come and maybe sledding down a hill I cant wait. That's all of the habits for now TTFN.

Playing on Ice

We are in the habit of playing with what ever weather we can get so tonight we froze our sidewalk for a ice rink of sorts and played until Hunters friend got hurt so we De-iced it and called mom to see what needed to do he of course is fine. we all slid on the ice and laughed and chanted while we watched. ice skating as a family with home made ice is better than real skateing. any way just a habit I thought I would share TTFN.

Snow

we are in the habit of playing in the snow (when it falls) and we were lucky enough to get some on wedensday and we had an actual snow day yesterday the only bummer is it did not last. I would love to have at least two feet of it and really have a good time. any way so we had some fun and hopefully it comes again.

I am in the habit of trying new things. today I finaly figured out how to put pictures on the blog how cool is that? tonight I am babysitting for my friend so I have some time on my hands. I have been working on this whole picture thing for a while but now tada I am now literate in putting up pictures yeah!!!!! anyway we have been good a little tired but good. the kids had a silly string fight today and had tons of fun. well I am out of habits for now ttfn.

Busy Busy Busy

We are in the habit of just taking it easy on January 1 and as today comes to an end the first day of a new year we are preparing for tomorrow as we go back to school and work and start our schedule all over again. with our lives being busy and getting ready for little league for Khirali and continuing scouts for Hunter we will have a hectic time doing much else other than work sleep and kids. we are also packing and getting ready to move maybe if we can find somewhere. so here is to 2007 and all it will bring.
